“If the plight of the minority American experience stems from designed systems of inequity, those systems should be interrogated and dismantled through designed and engineered solutions.”

A.D. says his life’s purpose is to improve the minority experience in America through social design and economic empowerment. This passionate commitment is motivated by personal experience, growing up a Black male in a single parent home in Houston. A.D. recognizes his educational and professional success is a statistical anomaly among boys of his race, while so many others cannot overcome the oppression and inequities they face. A.D.’s idea is to take apart the systems that have constructed the barriers of the minority American experience. MITidm helped him integrate his business background with the skills necessary to initiate the creation of socially-designed solutions. A.D. has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Missouri and is an MBA candidate at the MIT Sloan School of Management.
