“I am lucky to be always surrounded by people doing the things I love so I know which direction to work toward.”

Jonathan transitioned from electrical engineer to mechanical engineer so he could create things that people would enjoy. Designing allows him to directly execute his ideas for consumer products to make life easier, such as robot vacuums and kitchen equipment. He is now looking to innovate health and wellness products for those who suffer the most, whether it’s a wellness tracking and management system for spinal cord injury patients or an easy-to-use stair climbing assistive technology for senior citizens. Jonathan’s experience as a ski instructor also sparked a belief that training and education can make systems more efficient in any sector – on the ski slopes or in factories. Jonathan has a Bachelor of Engineering from Huazhong University of Science and Technology and a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Tufts University.
