“Environmental destruction disproportionately impacts the livelihoods of the poorest communities. We can do better by creating and commercializing innovations that promote sustainable consumption.”

While the world grapples with the consequences of mankind’s environmental footprint, Katherine says we can greatly reduce the negative impact on the earth by designing sustainable products and improving manufacturers’ efficiency. However, the solutions are only as effective as our own ability to change. As a marketing and product manager across Asia and Africa, Katherine has come to understand human behavior in the corporate realm and wants to use that knowledge to shift the balance toward sustainable consumption. She is inspired by her MITidm colleagues with similar passions and sharpening her design-thinking leadership skills. Katherine has two bachelor degrees from the University of Adelaide, one in Laws and Legal practice, the other in International Business.
