“There is an alarming realization of how the environment is declining, but no promising decline in consumerism and materialism.”

As a furniture and surface product designer, Nani is fully aware of how raw materials and chemicals impact the environment. That’s why she wants to raise the bar on innovating new methods of environmentally friendly means of disposals. It means more material reuse and upcycling. MITidm is putting Nani on the road to revolutionizing industrial design and focus on the green aspect of the materials life cycle, while bridging the gap between manufacturers’ product expectations and consumers’ pragmatic needs. Nani earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Industrial Design from the Rhode Island School of Design.
