“I want to build interventions that will improve the quality of life in India to match global standards.”

Shakti is a mechanical engineer with an insatiable curiosity about the world around him. He admits to spending hours admiring and investigating the designs of even mundane things. Before MITidm, Shakti spent three years in India as the Product Chief of Quidich, a company that provides drone services. His role varied according to the projects, some of which involved building roads in the mountains of India, designing a VR roller coaster, and sometimes helping rescue man-eating tigers. Shakti graduated from the Army Public School in New Delhi and later earned a Young India Fellowship, a one-year multidisciplinary postgraduate diploma program in Liberal Studies at Ashoka University. Shakti strives to combine his engineering skills with the design process to produce designs that are better, cheaper, and safer than anything that currently exists.
