“The environments and experiences we interact with are critical to how we see our own potential.”

As a user-centric designer and engineer, Alex strives to create experiences that inspire inclusive play and learning experiences. He has held several roles in product development at Boston-area engineering companies, but it was his passions outside of work that shifted his career objectives. From competing on BattleBots to designing extravagant costumes for children who use wheelchairs, Alex spends his free time designing inspirational, empowering experiences. Those collaborations – and the children’s joyful reactions – put the spotlight on the importance of wonder, curiosity, and inclusion in childhood play and beyond. MITidm has expanded Alex’s toolkit as a design leader who can influence empowering experiences. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Robotics Engineering from the Olin College of Engineering.
