A life-changing moment came more than eight years ago, when Chen decided to follow his passion and become a designer. Since then he has witnessed the powerful impact of shifting his focus from jobs that simply allow him to make a living to embracing his authentic self, creativity, and entrepreneurship to make a difference in people’s lives. Chen’s life experiences are the inspiration for his innovations, which include a wearable device and app that promotes children’s safety. Chen says he was eager to learn from the talents and collaborations through MITidm, and accelerate his professional growth. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Language and Literature from Shanghai International Studies University.
