Jairo has more than 10 years of professional experience as a graphic designer, helping clients in the public and private sectors develop their brands and tell their stories. As founder and creative director of MEZCLA design studio in Washington, D.C., Jairo focuses on the final user and their experience in everything he creates. With that success comes a desire to expand MEZCLA’s positive social impact to Latin America by producing human-centered design solutions to systemic, complex problems. Through the MITidm program, Jairo strengthened his skills in the business and engineering aspects of design, while working collaboratively across disciplines. He has a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Corcoran College of Art and Design.
