“When we come together with different gifts and backgrounds, people are able to learn from one another and make the world a better place.”

Following a stint doing web analytics with Microsoft Canada, Jennifer spent five years with the Toronto-based software development company Intelliware, working on user experience issues. Interested in social justice, Jennifer has twice traveled to Kenya to participate in a variety of service projects as a volunteer with the international charity organization, Ubuntu. She has volunteered for many years with the nonprofit Deedz, engaging intimately with Toronto’s homeless population. Those experiences prompted Jennifer to pursue an opportunity with MITidm that would allow her to connect her design skills with her passion to lessen obstacles to success for the marginalized. Jennifer received a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Toronto in 2011.
