“If designers create inherently good products, we’d shift the responsibility for success from consumers to rigorous design practice.”

Having grown up on a farm, Andrea developed a deep appreciation for fresh produce and food systems at an early age. She earned a Bachelor of Arts from Dartmouth College in Human-Centered Design with a minor in Sustainability. Working at SproutsIO, a company developing microfarms for personal produce, Andrea challenged herself at the intersection of design, technology, and agriculture. She also believes psychology can impact product design and user experience, which she learned during an undergraduate experience working at Tiltfactor, a game design lab for social change. Andrea hopes to use her advanced degree from MITidm to institute change in the organizational behavior of companies that do not currently value responsible design practices.
