A career as a buyer and market strategist in the luxury goods industry might not naturally lead to integrated product development, but Sofia says arriving at MITidm was not a professional pivot, but rather a new way to merge her passions. She is blending the worlds of business, design, and engineering to create products that serve both a practical and emotional purpose. That is, focus on people keeping in mind the feelings and connections a quality product can generate. Sofia holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from New York University. She is a native English, Spanish and French speaker, and also is fluent in Italian.
