Problem Statement
Bobbie is a 80-year-old grandmother who loves staying connected with her friends and family. As her vision deteriorates, Bobbie finds herself struggling in a digital world, with a complex email interface and having to remember too many passwords in order to stay connected. Bobbie is not alone – millions of older adults find using email and authentication on web services a frustrating experience. It is a large and growing problem. How might we improve the online authentication process and email user experience for older adults?
Proposed Solution
We have two goals with BOLT. One, to create better accessibility for people over 65 through a simple, easy to understand and elegant interface. Two, to simplify password authentication by integrating email, security, and web services access on a single platform.
