Tinkering with everything from toys to cars, Yash has always wondered how things work. Family moves around his native India exposed him to unique cultures and frugal innovations across the country, which introduced him to the concept that real life problems could be solved with simple, inexpensive, effective solutions. In his work as a mechanical engineer turned entrepreneur, Yash has focused on the environment, and specifically transportation. His ventures include high-performance electric vehicles and an affordable, shared urban transit service in India, making mobility a basic utility for the lower income population. After MITidm, Yash envisions making a strong positive impact to the society by solving real life problems. Yash has a Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering from Pandit Deendayal Energy University.
